Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

First National Bank North Branch

Carry in Ray’s Deli

Present: President Trevor Steinmeyer, Vice President Brian Kujath, Christy Haddan, Linda Harris, Shelly Hamm and Jan Klaus, Sharon Priefert.  New Board Members for 2012:  Jill Davis, Brooke Schwab and Justin Schultis.

Absent: Ron Hilligas, Kim Swanda and Carmen Hinman.

President Trevor Steinmeyer called the meeting to order at 11:45a.m.

Minutes:  Linda made a motion to approve the minutes, Christy seconded the motion.

Financials:  Justin made a motion to accept the November financials with Christy and Sharon balancing Chamber Cash, Jan seconded.

Annual Banquet Theme/Guest Speaker, Fri., Feb. 3:  Brian made a motion to accept the bid from Sweet Creations for the meal, Brooke seconded.

Festival of Trees/OFC recap:  All events went very well, it was discussed to incorporate a donation at the event add value to the event, this will be discussed in August along with the announcement of the date. 

Punch Card Drawing:  Thursday, December 22 at 3:30 at the Chamber office with refreshments.   Justin, Linda, Trevor, Shelly and Jill plan to be there, all board members and general public invited.  Refreshments will be provided, feel free to bring an appetizer.

$500 Christmas Raffle:  All tickets must be turned in before the Punch Card Drawing.  Hopefully everyone has sold their tickets sold!  Jill, Brooke and Justin all took $50 to sell. 

Shamrock Shuffle:  Trevor will work on a design and Carmen will get the registration forms ready and a poster for the January newsletter and also to send out to the past participants.

Pork N Pint mugs were discussed, further discussion at the next meeting.

Executive Session:  The board went into executive session at 12:15 and came out at 12:21.  (See separate minutes)

Officers 2012:  Brooke made a motion that Trevor Steinmeyer remain on as President, Jan seconded.  Shelly made a motion that Brian Kujath remain on as Vice President.  Trevor made a motion that Shelly Hamm become Treasurer, Jan seconded.  All motions carried. 

Next meeting:  Friday, January 6 at 11:30 p.m. at KUTT/KGMT conference room, carry in Casey’s Pizza. 

Steve will be in attendance to give the board an update on the Pork N Pints.

Goals 2011

1.    Membership Drive to increase membership by 5 new members - Membership Committee

2.    Maintain Current Membership; get membership more active to improve communication – Chamber Board & staff

3.    Special Events fundraisers to help balance budget.

4.    Chamber Involvement with schools – Chamber Board and Staff

5.    Business After Hours quarterly - Carmen & Trevor

6.    Increase promotions for service oriented members (Home Show, Festival of Trees, Pork N Pints, etc.)
