Oregon Trail “Amazing” Wagon Rally Press Release
Cracking clues. Performing tasks at “Trail Blockers”. Beating the competition. The Oregon Trail “Amazing” Wagon Rally is something new and unique this year. Organizers have based the race off of a couple of different things: the old fashioned “road rally’s” and the TV show, “The Amazing Race”. Teams of 2 to 4 people will be given clues to get to locations, where they may or may not encounter a “trail blocker”. Trail Blockers are tasks that 1 or more team members must perform before receiving their next clue. You don’t have to be in tip-top physical condition, nor will you spend a ton of money on gas. This event is geared to those people who like a little adventure and like to have a good time. Line-up & Instruction will be at 1:30 pm on Sunday, June 8th at the Community Building parking lot in the City Park, with the race itself beginning at 2:00 pm. The cost is $20 per car (up to 4 people, $5 per person after that) and all proceeds go to the Fairbury City Fire Department. The team to crack the clues, perform the trail blockers and come in first at the final location will receive $50.
